Paradise Beach is located at Nonankuppam in Ariyankuppam Commune in Union Territory of Puducherry. Paradise Beach is located at a point where the Chunnambar River backwaters meet the Bay of Bengal. Paradise Beach is an isolated and quiet sea beach, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Paradise Beach, also known by the name of Plage Paradiso, is mainly created on a small island of sorts, which separates the backwater area from the actual sea. This beach can be reached on a ferry boat from a place called Chunnambar Boat House & Resort. 

The beach is extremely attractive as the sands are very clean and the water is crystal clear. The tides at the beach are strong at times and it is not advisable to go deeper into the sea. Swimming is strictly prohibited but you can go near the water and get drenched by the in-coming waves. This beach is famed for its lovely sunbathing options and resting under the cool breeze of palm trees. A couple of thatched roof shelters provide respite from the sun and a place to keep your bags. The beach has several huts to help you change clothes and take cover if it begins to rain.

You will also find a small kiosk which serves chips, cold drinks and beer. Since no food and liquor is allowed inside, be prepared to shell out quite a bit for food and drink if you’re planning to spend the day there. The beach also has two toilets and one bathroom to take bath and get rid of sand. While waiting to go back to the mainland from the beach, don't forget to look for fishes in the back water, just near the pier. You will clearly see several brightly coloured fishes.

Beach volleyball, water sports equipment, beach umbrellas, nets and fishing rods are also available at this beach for tourists. There’s an entry fee to the boat house itself; the place has a couple of attractions for kids, like a bouncing castle and a suspiciously rickety tree house. There’s a separate ticket for boating, and kids below 5 travel free. Once you land on Paradise Beach, you can stay till the last boat leaves at 6.30 p.m.

Paradise Beach is located at about 200 meters from Nonankuppam Bus Stop, 2 Kms from Ariyankuppam, 1.5 Kms from Ariyankuppam Bus Stop, 1.5 Km from Ariyankuppam New Bus Stop, 6 Kms from Puducherry Main Bus Stand, 7 Kms from Puducherry Railway Station, 10 Kms from Puducherry Airport, 18 Kms from Cuddalore and 152 Kms from Chennai Airport. The beach is situated on Puducherry to Cuddalore Route (NH 45A). The place is well connected to Puducherry by means of Bus and Autos. If you are coming from Cuddalore or Pondicherry by Bus, Tourists are advised to get down at Nonankuppam Bus Stop. Boat House is situated at a walkable distance from this Bus Stop. This beach can be reached on a ferry boat from Boat House & Resort. Nearest Railway Station is located at Puducherry. Nearest Airport is located at Puducherry and Chennai.
