Lakshmi Narayana Varadha Raja Perumal Temple,
Nallathur, Cuddalore
Lakshmi Narayana Varadha Raja Perumal Temple is a Hindu
Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located at Nallathur Village in Cuddalore
District of Tamilnadu. The Temple is located very close to Pondicherry. The
Temple is believed to be built during Kulothunga Chola Period. It is believed
that Lord Rama visited this Sthalam.

Temple
Presiding Deity is called as Lakshmi Narayana Varadha
Raja Perumal. He is in standing posture with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi.
There are shrines of Lord Rama, Bala Anjaneya, Veera Anjaneya, Ramar Paatham
(Foot Prints of Lord Rama), Vishnu Durga, Vedaantha Desikar and Thirumangai
Azhwar in the Artha Mandapam.
There is an unusual Pushkarini (Theertham) inside the
temple premises. The water from the well is very tasty. Water level will never
go down during summer season and water level will never go high during rainy
season. Water is drawn from this well for Thirumanjanam.
There is a unique shrine for Garudan called Ashta Naga
Garudan in the temple premises. Garudan is having eight Nagas around his body.
Devotees worship this Garudan on Swathi Nakshatra Days to get relief from Naga
Dosham.
Sthala Vriksham for Perumal is Athi maram and Sthala
Vriksham for Mother is Vilva Maram. It is believed that Lord and Mother are
residing in these trees at night time. There are two Nandhavanams (Gardens)
called Thiru Nandhavanam and Siru Nandhavanam in the temple premises.

The Temple remains open from 08.30 am to 01.30 pm and
06.00 pm to 08.30 pm.
Festivals
Perumal Andal Marriage festival during Margazhi Month,
Lord Rama and Mother Seetha Marriage festival during Chithirai Month, Aadi
Pooram, Amavasya, Vaikunda Ekadesi, Bhogi and Ramanavami are the festivals
celebrated here with much fanfare.
