Pachai Vazhi Amman Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Goddess Sakthi located at Ariyankuppam in Union Territory of Puducherry. The Temple dates back to 17^th Century. There is an old neem tree survives here which stands as a spectator for the ancient history of this temple. The Temple is situated between Ariyankuppam and Chunnambar Boat House. Pachai Vazhi Amman Temple is situated nearby the bank of Sankaraparani River (otherwise known as Chunnambar). This river is assumed as a holy river and during the month of February of every year the devotees are assembled here and offered prayer to their ancestors.

Presiding Deity is called as Pachai Vazhi Amman and Mannathaswamy. Goddess Pachhaivaziamman followers are called as Munisvarans. There were seven Munisvarans. All these Muniswaran Stucco Idols can be seen in the Temple premises. There are shrines for Dhakshinamoorthy, Vinayagar, Muruga, Saraswathy, Lakshmi, Easwari, Saneeswaran, Neela Varani Santha Velliamman, Mannathaswamy in the Temple premises. There is a deity called Athiveeran just opposite the temple. It is believed that he guards the Amman. There is shrine for Nagamman under centuries old Neem Tree.

The Temple is situated between Ariyankuppam and Chunnambar Boat House. The Temple is located at about 200 meters from Nonankuppam Bus Stop, 350 meters from Chunnambar Boat House, 1.5 Kms from Ariyankuppam, 1.5 Kms from Ariyankuppam Bus Stop, 1 Km from Ariyankuppam New Bus Stop, 6 Kms from Puducherry Main Bus Stand, 7 Kms from Puducherry Railway Station, 10 Kms from Puducherry Airport, 18 Kms from Cuddalore and 152 Kms from Chennai Airport. The Temple is situated on Puducherry to Cuddalore Route (NH 45A). The place is well connected to Puducherry by means of Bus and Autos. If you are coming from Cuddalore or Pondicherry by Bus, Tourists are advised to get down at Nonankuppam Bus Stop. The Temple is situated at a walkable distance from this Bus Stop. Nearest Railway Station is located at Puducherry. Nearest Airport is located at Puducherry and Chennai.
