Viswanathar Temple, Viswanathapuram, Cuddalore
Viswanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Viswanathapuram Village near Nellikkuppam Town in Panruti Taluk in Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu. The Temple is situated on southern banks of Thenpennai River. The Temple had been washed away completely and only Lingam remains. The Lingam is housed under a shed.

The Temple is located at about 6 Kms from Nellikkuppam, 6 Kms from Nellikkuppam Railway Station, 16 Kms from Cuddalore, 16 Kms from Cuddalore Bus Stand, 20 Kms from Cuddalore Port Junction Railway Station, 32 Kms from Puducherry, 33 Kms from Puducherry Airport, 169 Kms from Chennai Airport and 183 Kms from Chennai.
The Temple is situated on Cuddalore to Panruti Route. Devotees after crossing Nellikkuppam, look out for Thirukandeswaram. Once, you spot Thirukandeswaram, take the road towards North side (right hand side). The Temple is situated on the banks of Thenpennai River amidst Sugarcane fields.
